Audacy all-news KNX, Los Angeles held a live, one-hour town hall event before a studio audience in the Audacy SoundSpace on L.A.’s Miracle Mile last night (12/12) titled, “Smash and Grab: Stealing the
Season.” The station says it “featured an informative, spirited, and sometimes fiery debate about the growing problem of organized retail theft and what can be done about it.” Appearing on the panel of experts were Todd Spitzer, Orange County district attorney; Marc Beeart, director of fraud & corruption prosecutions at the L.A. County District Attorney’s office; Lt. Sergio Perez, coordinator of the California Highway Patrol retail theft task force; Tinisch Hollins, executive director, Californians for Safety and Justice; and Charis Kubrin, criminologist, UC Irvine.
