Lee Elci to Host 17-Hour, 76-Minute Live Show to Celebrate America’s 250th

WJJT, New London, Connecticut talk host Lee Elci announces he will present an epic 17-hour, 76-minute live broadcast on Friday, imgJuly 3 from 12:00 midnight to 6:16 pm to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. Elci says the broadcast will culminate with the 12 most impactful patriotic moments in American history. He adds, “America is turning 250, this is our chance to stand tall, salute the red, white, and blue, and remember exactly what makes this country the home of the brave. Tune in, call in, and let’s make some patriotic noise together!”

Cumulus to Simulcast Gene Valicenti on New London Talker

TALKERS has learned that WPRO-AM/WEAN-FM, Providence morning drive host Gene Valicenti’sim program will be simulcast on Cumulus Media’s New London, Connecticut news/talk outlet WXLM-AM, beginning Monday (5/13). Valicenti has been hosting the morning show on WPRO since 2010. He is also the evening anchor on Sinclair’s WJAR-TV, Providence where he’s been working since 1992.

Cumulus Media Partners with Rhode Island Football Club

Cumulus Media announces a new partnership with Rhode Island Football Club to broadcast select matches for the club’s inaugural 2024 season on WPRV-AM, Providence “790 The Score” andim news/talk/sports WXLM-AM, New London. The first match aired last Saturday (3/16) versus New Mexico United. An additional nine matches will air on the two stations. Cumulus regional vice president Holly Paras says, “I am delighted that our stations will enter into this new broadcasting partnership with Rhode Island FC and help to bring the Southern New England community the passion and drama of this new team and exciting sport.”
