Sacred Heart’s WSHU Designates Dancer As GM
Sacred Heart University-owned public radio news/talk WSHU appoints Brad Dancer general manager. Sacred Heart president John J. Petillo notes that Fairfield, CT’s WSHU is a, “unique organization whose mission is to serve our community with extraordinary programming that informs and inspires. I am confident that Brad Dancer will foster a culture of innovation and shepherd the station into a new era of content creation that goes well beyond the radio.” Holding bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Purdue University and the University of Maryland, respectively, Dancer remarks, “WSHU has a remarkable legacy of excellence, and I am honored to be part of this community. The collective talent and passion of the WSHU team has earned us the loyalty of our dedicated audience as well as countless prestigious awards – this uniquely positions us for success. I am confident that – together – we will achieve even greater things.” Dancer has previously held news, education, and cultural content positions at National Geographic, WWE, Disney, Canela Media, and Paramount. In addition to serving on the boards of All People Marketplace; Modal Learning; and Connecticut Gift of Adoption, he’s been an adjunct professor at Roosevelt University.

Afterwards, Gornoski proceeded to announce his intentions to be a wrestling manager looking for the right client and serenaded the crowd with a rendition of Britney Spears’ “Oops I Did It Again.” Gornoski started his broadcasting career at iHeartRadio’s WFLA, Orlando and later, WHBO, Tampa before moving to podcasting. While he covers current events and culture, Gornoski has recently interviewed wrestling icons like Glenn “Kane” Jacobs, Mayor of Knox County, TN and fitness guru Diamond Dallas Page. Gornoski says he hopes to bridge the gap between the media world and the world of wrestling in a completely new way. He points to successful radio host and physician Doctor Asa (Asa Andrew, M.D.) whom he met at the TALKERS 2023 conference and is working with TNA Wrestling promotions as both a wrestler and ringside physician on Impact Wrestling as being a significant inspiration in his choice of this new path. 
In addition to her work with ESPN, Arnolt has been a host for WWE and is currently a reporter for UFC events. Doctor Asa re-trained this past year with Dusty Rhodes’ son, Cody Rhodes, who is set to go against Roman Reigns for the undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania in Hollywood, California on April 1 and 2. In signing with Impact Wrestling, one of the top three wrestling promotions in America, Doctor Asa has taken on the role as head of medical and sports performance for the company. His new title? “Doctor Asa, Ringside Physician.” TALKERS publisher Michael Harrison, an avid fan of wrestling, boxing and MMA, says, “Don’t be surprised if the doctor in scrubs sitting at ringside doesn’t wind up in the midst of the action should things get out of hand.”
