KMJ Launches Friday Night Sports Show
KMJ-AM/FM, Fresno morning drive personality Christopher Gabriel is beginning a new sports talk show on the Cumulus 
Media news/talk station. “Live and Local” airs Friday afternoons from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm live from the station’s studios at the Radio City Office Building. The station says, “The Christopher Gabriel Program adds another facet to KMJ Radio’s long esteemed history in the Valley, bring sports talk to the airwaves. KMJ’s first on-air broadcast was on March 23, 1922, and Friday’s launch of Gabriel’s one hour-long sports program will make history for KMJ as its first-ever sports talk format in its program lineup.”

In late 2024, KFH notified the duo that it wanted to move the syndicated Jim Rome show into their time slot and move them to the 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm slot. The two tried to produce the show earlier in the day to air at 5:00 but Bob Lutz tells the Eagle that not speaking live with callers took the fun out of the show. 
Macon, Georgia. The Macon Telegram reports that “Creekside Sports” is hosted by Steve Norris and Daniel Shirley. The piece notes that Norris has experience broadcasting area high school and junior college football and has served as a local sports and news reporter, having been a freelance sportswriter for The Telegraph from 2008 until 2012.
