FOX News Channel Tops News Set in Primetime During Election Week

FOX News Channel reports that according to data from Nielsen, it was the “number one network in all of television” in weekday primetime. In that daypart, FNC had 5.4 million viewers, beating ABC’s 4.9 millionim viewers, and CBS and NBC which saw 4.1 million viewers. On Election Day, FOX News Media’s primetime coverage of election night across FNC, FOX Network, FOX Business Network and FOX News Digital topped all television networks with nearly 13.6 million viewers and 4.4 million in the 25-54 demo. FNC’s “Democracy 2024” primetime coverage averaged nearly 10.3 million in total viewers and 3.1 million in the 25-54 younger demographic beating ABC, NBC, CBS and all cable news networks.

FNC Marks 22 Years as Top Cable News Channel in 25-54 Demo

FOX News Channel announces that based on data from Nielsen Media Research, the cable news network achieves its 22nd consecutive year as the number one cable news network in total day and primetime. The company adds, “Since January 2002, FNC has remained the most-watched cable newsim network across both total day and primetime with total viewers and the 25-54 demographic. FNC continued its ratings dominance for the month of January and grew its primetime audience in total viewers versus January 2023. Additionally, FNC was the only cable news network to show year-over-year growth in the younger 18-34 demo, growing 18% in total day and 25% in primetime, while MSNBC and CNN are experiencing double-digit declines.” FOX News Media CEO Suzanne Scott comments, “Marking another historic feat is a true reflection of the unwavering dedication and outstanding talent that we have throughout the entire organization of FOX News Channel.”

FOX News Channel Top Cable Net in Total Day and Prime Time in July

FOX News Channel says that, according to data from Nielsen Media Research, it finished July 2023 as cableim television’s most-watched network across both primetime and total day viewership and was #2 in the 25-54 demo with total day behind ESPN. FNC’s “The Five” has been number one in viewership for seven consecutive quarters securing 2,591,000 total viewers and 254,000 in the A25-54 demo.

FNC Beats CNN and MSNBC for the 7th Consecutive Quarter

According to data from Nielsen Media Research, FOX News Channel finished the first quarter of 2023 as cable’s most-watched network in primetime and total day viewers. Additionally, FNC beat CNN and MSNBC combined with total day and primetime viewers and the A25-54 demo for the seventh consecutive quarter. FOX News Channel reports that its total primetime viewers for March 2023 was 2,094,000 (down 27% from March 2022), while CNN’s total primetime viewers was 473,000 (down 61% from March 2022) and MSNBC’s total primetime viewers was 1,135,000 total viewers (down 12% from March 2022).
