NAB Presents 2025 Marconi Winners

The NAB celebrated the 2025 NAB Marconi Radio Awards during a ceremony at the Edisonimg Ballroom on the eve of NAB Show New York. Some of the winners in spoken-word radio formats include: Premiere Networks’ Colin Cowherd for Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year; WJR, Detroit’s Mitch Albom for Large Market Personality of the Year; WHIO-AM/FM, Dayton’s Larry Hansgen for Medium Market Personality of the Year; WWNC, Asheville’s Mark Starling for Small Market Personality of the Year; WBAL-AM, Baltimore for News/Talk Station of the Year; and WXYT-FM, Detroit for Sports Station of the Year.

2024 Marconi Award Finalists Announced

The NAB announces the finalists for the 2024 Marconi Awards, the winners of which will be named at theim NAB Show New York on October 9. News/talk stations WLS-AM, Chicago and WLW-AM, Cincinnati are finalists for Legendary Station of the Year. WWTN-FM, Nashville talk host Dan Mandis is a finalist for Large Market Personality of the Year. KIDO-AM, Boise host Kevin Miller is a finalist for Medium Market Personality of the Year. The finalists for News/Talk Station of the Year are: WSB-AM, Atlanta; KRMG-FM, Tulsa; WLW-AM, Cincinnati; KDKA-AM, Pittsburgh; and WIBC-FM, Indianapolis. See the complete list of finalists here.

NAB announced the winners of the 2023 Marconi Awards at last night’s ceremony at NAB Show Newim York. The spoken-word winners included: Legendary Radio Station of the Year – all-news KCBS-AM, San Francisco; Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year – Rich Eisen, Westwood One; Best Podcast of the Year – “The Letter,” KSL-FM, Salt Lake City; News/Talk Station of the Year – WTOP-FM, Washington, DC; and Sports Station of the Year – WBZ-FM, Boston.

Sports media personality broadcaster Rich Eisen will host the 2023 Marconi Radio Awards Dinner on October 25 during NAB Show New York. Record producer and radio host DJ Scratch, who performed at last year’s event, will provide live music.

iHeartPodcasts announces today that sleep and relaxation podcast, “Nothing Much Happens: Bedtime Stories to Help You Sleep,” joins the iHeartPodcast Network. Since April 2018, “Nothing Much Happens” has delivered peaceful and relaxing content to listeners around the world. The popular series has been widely recognized for its excellence, originality, and production design. As part of the deal, the two will also coproduce and distribute new podcast concepts in English as well as other languages.

NAB Announces Marconi Finalists

The National Association of Broadcasters announces the finalists for this year’s Marconi Radio Awards. Radio stations and personalities in the spoken-word genre making it as finalists include: Premiere Networks’ George Noory and Westwood One’s Rich Eisen in the Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year category. Sportsim talkers Boomer Esiason and Gregg Giannotti of Audacy’s WFAN, New York and George Dunham, Craig Miller and Gordon Keith of Cumulus Media’s KTCK, Dallas-Ft. Worth are finalists in the Major Market Personality of the Year category. WDBZ, Cincinnati’s Lincoln Ware is a finalist in the Large Market Personality of the Year category and Kayla Blakeslee of Pathfinder Communications’ news/talk WOW, Ft. Wayne and Kevin Miller of Townsquare Media’s KIDO-AM, Boise are finalists in the Medium Market Personality of the Year category.
