PodcastOne Extends A+E Deal. PodcastOne extends its agreement with A+E Networks for the exclusive sales and distribution rights to five true crime podcasts: “Cold Case Files,” “I Survived,” “American Justice,” “City Confidential,” and “Ancient Aliens.” PodcastOne co-founder and president Kit Gray says, “Whether it is a limited series or a weekly production, we provide premiere podcasting services for companies and networks who have been hesitant or lack the internal resources to adapt existing programming into a podcast. MPR Adds Trustees. The Board of Trustees of Minnesota Public Radio welcomes two new members. Sarah Karon, board president of the Library Foundation for Sarasota County and District 5 Town Commissioner in Longboat Key, Florida, and Dr. Brian Harrison, political scientist and author, were recently elected to the board. MPR CEO Jean Taylor states, “We’re delighted to welcome Sarah and Brian to the MPR Board of Trustees. PodcastOne: Video Views Up 218% Year-Over-Year

The Salem Radio Network nationally syndicated program “Armed American Radio,” hosted by Mark Walters, adds new affiliates as Steckline Communications’ KGYN-AM, Guymon, Oklahoma; K292HJ, Liberal, Kansas; and Taylor Made Broadcasting’s KGLC-FM, Miami, Oklahoma add the show to their lineups.

PodcastOne Reports Fiscal Q3 2025 Revenue Rises 22%

PodcastOne reports financial data from the third quarter of fiscal year 2025 and says revenue was $12.7 million, an increase of 22% over the same period in fiscal year 2024. The company also reports a net loss of $1.58 million, a decrease of more than 39% from the net loss of $2.6 million reported the same period a year ago. PodcastOne president and co-founder Kit Gray says, “The recent migration and partnership withimg Amazon’s ART19 hosting platform marks a major evolution for PodcastOne that enhances operational efficiencies while strengthening our monetization capabilities and audience engagement. Edison Research announces that the Sports Audio Report: Female Fans with SiriusXM Media and Group M will be presented in a webinar on July 16 at 2:00 pm ET. Edison says the webinar will explore the unique audio listening habits of U.S. female sports fans and show how they interact with sports beyond the field. The webinar will be presented by Salma Aly, manager of Research at Edison Research and Sophie Anderson, associate director, podcast sales marketing at SiriusXM Media.

Salem Media Group closes on the sale of its Christian music stations in Nashville and Honolulu to Educational Media Foundation for $7 million. This transaction was previously announced on March 21, 2024.

PodcastOne announces the debut of its latest podcast, “Wholeheartedly with Kendall and Galey.” Hosted by fitness instructor and wellness influencer Kendall Toole and DIY home renovation expert and HBO MAX host Galey Alix, the podcast debuts on July 17 with weekly episodes dropping on Wednesdays. New WZLX, Boston morning host Rich Shertenlieb announces the cast members for his program on the iHeartMedia classic rock outlet and they are going heavy on sports content from the looks of it. Joining Shertenlieb will be Boston TV personality and sports writer Michael Hurley, plus a rotating cast including former New England Patriot Ted Johnson; FOX Sports, ESPN and Sports Illustrated personality Charlotte Wilder; and NFL Network alumnus Mike Giardi.

Cumulus Media’s sports talk WMAL-AM, Washington, DC announces its partnership with National Women’s Soccer League’s The Washington Spirit that will feature the broadcast of 13 regular season matches. Bram Weinstein will serve as play-by-play voice while former Spirit player Gaby Vincent will serve as color commentator. Michael Minnich will provide additional commentary during broadcasts and serve as an alternate for both Weinstein and Vincent.

PodcastOne announces the new podcast, “We (Almost) Made It” with Bryan Greenberg and Victor Rasuk. PodcastOne will oversee the exclusive distribution, sales rights and production of the weekly TV & film podcast. Jachman, the daughter of FNC Atlanta bureau ENG field photographer Thomas Jachman, will attend the Georgia Institute of Technology in the fall and plans to major in journalism. King, the son of FNC’s Dallas bureau ENG field photographer Scott King, intends to attend Utah State University this fall where he will major in physics. The podcast starring the wife of LA Rams QB Matthew Stafford and Detroit TV news personality Hank Winchester launched in 2021 and joined the PodcastOne network in 2022. UK radio and outdoor firm Global inks an exclusive platform distribution and ad sales deal with iHeartMedia in which Global and iHeartMedia will license, distribute and represent each other’s podcast portfolios.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Audacy announce a multi-year extension to their 30-year partnership through the 2028 NFL season. As part of the new agreement, “SportsRadio 94WIP” will continue to serve as the team’s official flagship radio partner. The broadcast team is led by Eagles Hall of Famers Merrill Reese and Mike Quick in the radio booth and longtime 94WIP personality Howard Eskin on the sideline.

iHeartMedia chairman and CEO Bob Pittman & president COO/CFO Rich Bressler will participate in a question and answer session during the Wells Fargo TMT Summit on November 29 at 3:45 pm ET. A live webcast of the session will be available to the general public at the start of the session through a link on the Investors homepage of iHeartMedia’s website.

WJCT Public Media names Anne Schindler permanent host of the flagship daily public affairs program “First Coast Connect” on WJCT-FM, Jacksonville “News 89.9,” effective October 30. , 2023. Officially Rebranded PodcastOne Begins Trading on Nasdaq

PodcastOne, which began trading on Nasdaq under its new name at the open of the market on Tuesday (9/26), officially changes its name from Courtside Group, Inc to PodcastOne, Inc. Parent company LiveOne owns approximately 81% of the new company, which recently converted theim remaining unsecured convertible notes in the aggregate principal amount of $5.8 million at $3 per share. Following this transaction, the company is now debt free. The Courtside Group name was of the parent company founded by the late Norm Pattiz, who was known for sitting courtside at Los Angeles Lakers games from many years. PodcastOne’s president and co-founder Kit Gray comments, “The corporate name change to PodcastOne, Inc provides a true characterization of our company as one of the 10 largest podcast publishers in the U.S., ranked ahead of media giants Paramount, CNN and FOX.”

SiriusXM and New England College announce that former Vice President Mike Pence will take part in a town hall event with P.O.T.U.S. channel hosts Julie Mason and Steve Scully. The special will take place before an audience at New England College outside Concord, New Hampshire on September 6, with the one-hour special premiering at 3:00 pm ET.

LiveOne announces that its subsidiary, PodcastOne, secures a long contract extension with co-founder and president, Kit Gray. LiveOne CEO and chairman Robert Ellin comments, “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Kit Gray. PodcastOne is producing a live, pay-per-view event starring its leading podcast talent Adam Carolla. The June 4 show titled, “Adam Carolla & Friends,” airs at 9:30 pm ET from the Belly Up Tavern outside of San Diego and features Carolla plus comics Brad Williams, Kimbles Hume and other special guests. Hillsdale College announces the launch of the new podcast, “The Larry P. Arnn Show,” hosted by college president Larry Arnn who interviews distinguished guests to Hillsdale’s campus. — Cumulus Media’s Westwood One, the official network audio broadcast partner of the NCAA, is broadcasting live coverage of the Men’s Sweet Sixteen today (3/23) and tomorrow. It will also broadcast live coverage of the Men’s Elite Eight on Saturday and Sunday, as well as the NCAA Men’s Final Four on Saturday, April 1 and the national championship game on Monday, April 3 in both English and Spanish. It is also presenting exclusive live coverage of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship, beginning with the Sweet Sixteen this weekend.

— SiriusXM announced a new show inspired by The Last Mile (TLM), a unique in-prison program that’s changing lives through technology-based education by preparing currently incarcerated students for careers upon their release. “The Last Mile Radio,” hosted by the program’s co-founder, Chris Redlitz, and formerly incarcerated musician and audio producer, Eric Abercrombie (known as Maserati-E), premieres on Saturday (3/4). Every week “The Last Mile Radio” will amplify the voices of influencers who are helping evolve the U.S. Justice System as we know it.

— iHeartMedia and the NBA unveil a new slate of team-specific shows coming to the iHeart/NBA Podcast Network.
