KNBR Renews Flagship Radio Deal with 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers and Cumulus Media sports talk KNBR, San Francisco “The Sports Leader” extend their deal in which KNBR AM/FM serves as the 49ers’ flagship station. Broadcasters Greg Papa and Timimg Ryan will continue calling live 49ers games, as well as pre-and post-game shows. Cumulus regional VP Larry Blumhagen comments, “We at KNBR are tremendously excited to continue this valued partnership with the Niners. We have a wonderful relationship with the organization and its people, and they are truly a partner to us in connecting their fans with all the gameday action they love and demand. We look forward to continuing to provide 49ers fans with outstanding game day coverage on all KNBR platforms from AM/FM to streaming.”

Sileo Returns to Tampa Airwaves. Sports media personality Dan Sileo is back on the radio airwaves in Tampa hosting the 10:00 am to 12:00 noon show on Genesis Communications’ WWBA, Largo “The Big 8.” Sileo hosts the 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm streaming program on JAKIB Sports Philadelphia.

“95.7 The Game” is Valkyries Flagship. Audacy sports talk outlet KGMZ-FM, San Francisco “95.7 The Game” is now serving as the flagship radio station for the WNBA’s Golden State Valkyries. All Valkyries games will stream live on the Audacy App, and all home contests will air on “95.7 The Game.” Additionally, the Valkyries have announced that Kevin Danna will serve as the radio play-by-play announcer, with Sophia Jones as the color analyst.

KOA, Denver Wins at CBA Awards gala. KOA, Denver talk host Ross Kaminsky tips TALKERS that his station was honored with a win in the “Best News Coverage of a Single Event” category for the program he anchored after President Trump was shot in Butler, PA. from the Colorado Broadcasting Association at its recent awards gala. KOA, led by program director Dave Tepper, was also named “Station of the Year.”

Cumulus and San Francisco Giants Extend. Cumulus Media’s sports talk KNBR, San Francisco signs a multi-year extension with the San Francisco Giants to continue as the team’s flagship radio station. KNBR has been the official radio broadcast home for the Giants since 1979. Broadcasting personalities include: Jon Miller, Dave Flemming, Mike Krukow, and Duane Kuiper.

680 The Fan and Atlanta Braves Renew. Dickey Broadcasting Company announces the extension of its flagship partnership with the Atlanta Braves. Under the terms of the 12-year extension, “680 The Fan” will remain the exclusive radio home of the Atlanta Braves, providing comprehensive coverage of all games, expert analysis, and exclusive content. San Jose Earthquakes to Air on “810 AM The Spread”

Cumulus Media announces that Major League Soccer’s San Jose Earthquakes matches will air on KGO-AM, San Francisco “810 AM The Spread,” which will serve as the club’s new English-language flagship radio station. Matches were previously aired on sports talk KNBR. The Earthquakes will also continue to be heard in Spanish on “La Kaliente” 1370 AM/KZSF-AM. KGO program director Kevin Graham says, “Cumulus San Francisco is thrilled to continue our partnership with the San Jose Earthquakes for the seventh straight year and broadcast their matches this season on the all-new KGO-AM. With The Spread’s powerful signal and strong digital assets including the station’s app, more Quakes fans in Northern California will be able to listen and engage than ever before.” Ted Ramey – KCBS-AM reporter and host of KGO-AM’s “The Soccer Hour” – will serve as the primary play-by-play voice for home and away broadcasts and Joe Cannon will serve as the color analyst for home matches.
