Salem Announces Executive Appointments

Salem Media expands leadership roles for longtime company leaders Linnae Young and Jeff Reisman. Salem says that beginning October 1, Linnae Young will assume the role of president of broadcast media while continuing to serve as chief revenue officer. Young has served with Salem for more than 30 imgyears. Salem CEO David Santrella says, “Linnae has earned the respect of people across this company and throughout our industry. She knows our business inside and out and has been a driving force behind Salem’s success for more than three decades. Her leadership has made a lasting impact across Salem, and I’m excited to see her take on this expanded role.” Also effective October 1, Jeff Reisman becomes EVP of operations overseeing operational leadership across Salem’s local broadcast markets nationwide. About Reisman Santrella says, “Jeff is a imgtrusted leader in our company and has spent more than two decades serving Salem with excellence. He understands what makes our local markets successful and has spent years building strong teams and helping people grow. I am confident he will continue to strengthen our broadcast operations and help keep Salem moving forward.” The company adds that in conjunction with these leadership changes, Mark Durkin, senior vice president, Jeff Mitchell, regional vice president, and Chad Gammage, regional vice president, will also assume expanded responsibilities supporting Salem.

Radio Executive and Station Owner Willard Lochridge Dies at 85

Longtime radio executive and station owner Willard Lochridge died on November 13 at age 85.img Lochridge entered the business in the sales department and by 1970 became the general manager of WRIF, Detroit. He was promoted by ABC to general manager for WPLJ, New York in 1973. He would serve at KAUM, Houston before returning to New York to serve with ABC Radio Networks. He later joined NBC’s The Source. In 1988 he and his wife purchased a small station in Wickenburg, Arizona.

Civic Media Announces Executive Promotions

Civic Media announces the restructuring of its leadership. CEO Sage Weil announces that former VP of operations Kory Hartman is promoted to chief operating officer in which he’ll oversee day-to-day operations across Civic Media’s expanding footprint. At the same time, Chris Moreau is named president, Southernimg Region and Darla Isham is appointed vice president, Northern Region. Other excutive appointments include Aaron Carreno as SVP of product; John Scott as VP of marketing, and Drew Smith as VP of technology. Weil comments, “This leadership restructuring reflects our commitment to providing exceptional service to our listeners and communities across our coverage areas. Each of these executives brings deep experience and a passion for local broadcasting that aligns perfectly with our mission to serve as the voice of our communities.”
