WWL, New Orleans Inks Deals with Saints and Pelicans

Audacy announces new, multi-year broadcast agreements with the NFL’s New Orleans Saints and the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans for all Saints and Pelicans games to be broadcast live on news/talk WWL-AM/FM. WWL has been the flagship station for the New Orleans Saints continuously since 1995. Theim Pelicans had been heard on iHeartMedia’s WRNO-FM. Audacy Names Hartman to Lead Memphis Stations

Sales and management pro Nichole Hartman is named market manager for Audacy’s Memphis station group that includes sports talk WMFS-AM/FM, sports betting WMC-AM “The Bet 790,” and two musicim outlets. Hartman currently serves in the same role for the company’s Chattanooga stations, a position she will continue to hold. In Memphis, Hartman succeeds Dan Barron, who was recently named SVP and market manager in New Orleans. Audacy regional president Claudia Menegus comments, “Memphis and Chattanooga are lucky to have Nichole’s leadership as a vital building block to local market success. She continues on a path of consistent career growth and will elevate our Memphis market by delivering exceptional performance for our team, partners, and audiences.”

Audacy Announces Market Leadership Moves

Audacy announces “strategic leadership updates and promotions to bolster the company’s commitment to its local markets.” Gina Massenzi is promoted to SVP and market manager for Las Vegas that includes news/talk outlets KDWN and KXNT and four music brands. She has been serving the cluster as director of sales. Dan Barron rises to SVP and market manager for New Orleans that includes news/talkim WWL-AM/FM, sports talk WWWL-AM, and four music brands. Barron succeeds Kevin Cassidy, who was named SVP and market manager of Audacy Chicago in December. Additionally, Bob Mackay assumes the role of vice president of sales for Audacy Dallas after serving in the same post in Austin. And three regional presidents add responsibilities to their regions as Doug Abernethy picks up regional and direct oversight of Audacy Austin, Brian Purdy adds regional oversight for Audacy Chicago, Madison, and Milwaukee, and Mark Hannon assumes regional oversight of Audacy Minneapolis.
