The effects of the Category 3 hurricane are likely to cause widespread power outages that will cut power to millions, leaving them with battery-powered AM/FM radios as the sole source of information. This emergency situation – on the heels of radio’s outstanding performance in Maui – will certainly give timely support and ammunition to those in Congress pushing the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act.
