According to a story in the Los Angeles Times, former Salem Radio Network host and current GOP presidential candidate Larry Elder was fined $2,000 for violating California’s Political Reform Act during the 2021 recall election. The story indicates that Elder “failed to disclose earnings from 10 entities on his statement of economic interest, including Salem Media, Epoch Times and Turning Point USA, according to the state election commission.” The commission found “no evidence of intent to conceal” and the financial disclosure documents have been corrected.
